Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Supplier Quality Management Supervisor to a client in Fort Worth. This is a full-time, direct hire position. The position is 100% onsite.

The Supplier Quality Management (SQM) Supervisor is responsible for overseeing supplier quality performance to ensure all raw materials meet Wistron's quality standards and operational objectives. This role leads supplier containment and corrective action activities, manages supplier audits, and ensures appropriate disposition of non-conforming materials. The SQM Supervisor collaborates closely with Purchasing, Engineering, and Quality teams to maintain compliance, drive continuous improvement, and strengthen supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer global vendor performance to ensure alignment with company quality standards.
  • Address all non-conforming or suspected non-conforming material issues reported by manufacturing and confirm vendor responsibility.
  • Partner with Purchasing to coordinate the disposition of non-conforming raw materials; prepare, request, and follow up on vendor corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop and maintain documented procedures for segregation, identification, documentation, control, and safeguarding of non-conforming raw materials arising from inspection or manufacturing issues.
  • Collaborate with the QA Supervisor to provide mutual support and ensure alignment in shared quality functions.

Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE), supplier development, or internal auditing.
  • At least 2 years of leadership experience supervising engineers or technicians.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of electrical, industrial, or mechanical engineering principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications; familiarity with SMT and FA manufacturing processes.

Quality Systems

  • Practical experience in quality assurance, process control, or product inspection within electronics or automotive manufacturing.
  • Proficiency with quality Core Tools and problem-solving methodologies including 8D, FMEA, SPC, and PPAP.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards to support audit preparation and compliance.

Other Skills

  • Ability to interpret GD&T and apply IPC-A-610 acceptance criteria in inspection processes.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills for reporting and global collaboration.
  • Proven project management capabilities, including resource allocation and KPI tracking.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience conducting supplier audits and managing supplier corrective actions.
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools.

Working Conditions

  • Work performed in both office and production floor environments.
  • Requires standing and walking during inspections and supplier audits.
  • Occasional lifting of materials up to 25 lbs.
  • Occasional travel to supplier sites for audits and quality reviews.
  • Exposure to typical manufacturing noise and machinery; PPE provided as required.
